The most beautiful sound on earth
Yes, I may be dabbling lightly in the pool of self pity. Je suis malade au cours de l'été. When I need to close my eyes and forget my troubles for the moment, I listen to David Oistrakh play Claire de lune recorded in Paris, 1962, with Frida Bauer on piano. Close your eyes and enjoy.

Love your French appreciation society, I am a photographer with a passion for French vintage clothes, French wine & cheese and the French joie de vivre. Based in the English Midlands but near enough to visit Paris, Normandy and the South of France two or three or more times a year.
ReplyDeleteHad my first photographic exhibition in the French town of Orbec using their own costume museum and finding local town girls to wear the extraordinary outfits that their grandmothers and great grand mothers wore.
Today I collect Dior, Chanel, Lanvin and unknown handmade vintage garments wherever I can find them. Also French high fashion costume jewellery from the 1920's to 1980's. A lucky man indeed. See my work at www.artdecostudio.com Lovely Dior suits will be added next week.
